I had been fixated on my company and making sure La'Reiya was good. When I saw her crying the other day, that shit fucked with me. After we hung out that day getting ice cream and shit, we'd been cool. My uncle and auntie were on me heavy about me bringing her home for dinner. I had never done no shit like that, so it was hard for me to even ask her that shit.

After work, I drove to do my daily check-up on La'Reiya. I was running more behind than usual, but I still had to make sure she was cool before going to the crib. When I pulled up, I rang the doorbell, and she came to open the door before going to sit on the couch. I took my shoes and my jacket off before joining her.

"How are you feeling today, Reiya?"

She looked at me strangely, and I noticed the sadness in her eyes.

"I'm making it." She sighed deeply before curling up into a ball against the arm of her chair. She pulled the blanket up, nearly covering her head.

"What's wrong with you? Over the past few days, I've come over, and you're usually smiling ear to ear. What did I do this time?" I asked.

"I'm tired."

"My babies wearing you out?" I asked. She replied, but it was muffled, and it sounded like she was crying.

"Reiya."

"I'm okay. You did your daily check-in. I'm good," I quickly took the blanket down.

"I can't help you if you don't tell me what's wrong." I stared at her.

"It's nothing about the babies. They're fine. Aside from my body being sore, my titties and nipples are swollen and hurt. I'm always fucking horny... My family..."

She paused before completely unraveling.

"My family is so fucked up. My sister was fucking my ex-boyfriend while we were together."

I sat there and listened to her. La'Reiya had never opened up to me like this.

"Right after I saw you at the club with that girl you were with, my family called me home to celebrate my parents getting back together and my sister getting her first home. I went there, already having an attitude because of our situation. When I get to the party, I run into my ex's mom, and my nephew runs up to her calling her nana."

La'Reiya paused and almost looked like she was in disbelief.

"Not only is one of my nephews my ex's kids but both my nephews are. I whooped her ass all throughout her new house, and I cussed both my parents out. It probably wasn't the best way to handle it, but I did it. I wouldn't take it back. The only thing is that the pain is still there. How could two people hurt you like that?" She looked at me with sad eyes.

That shit was fucked up. A nigga violating like that was the scum of the earth.
